The holidays are about giving and while the reactivation days are about bringing back people who've previously played, some of you may be interested in bringing in new people, especially friends and family. Looking Back at Aion


I woke up this morning thinking about what's changed in Aion since it launched in 2009 in the NA/EU regions and why somebody would come back to the game. Actually, quite a lot has changed and I thought I'd list just a few of those changes for those thinking of potentially returning at some point over the holiday season.


This may seem funny, buying wow gold but loot drops now. Yes, even for unlucky people such as myself. Some could claim that too much loot drops as a matter of fact right now.

The max level was raised with patch 2.0 to 55 and that brought in new content with new zones.

Gliding was changed to give more obvious indicators of control when you're hitting the "w" and "s" keys. Additionally, there are now windstreams and geysers in the level 51-55 areas (see the patch notes for more information on them).

2.0 introduced several solo instances. Haramel (levels 18-22), Kromede's Trial (levels 37-44), and Taloc's Hollow (levels 51+).

Aion has little pets that wander around with you. They are collectible and some of them give back manastones or alert you when there's an enemy around (they're not that good at it though). They're pretty cute.

Quest rewards have been greatly increased and quests have been added for those who like to quest their way through the game. A level 20 character will now have at least 1 million kinah from just questing and potentially more depending on drops.

Every 5 failed heart attempts and you get 100 free Boiling Blood Stains. The RNG isn't entirely fixed, but at least every 5 yields a free try. Aion kinah for sale cheapSince the new level cap is 55, failing isn't as big a deal as it's not the end game gear anymore.

Rifting was nerfed (home faction territories gave everybody a huge defensive buff) making it impossible to rift into the opposite faction's zones and actually kill anything. We are in the middle of 10 days of a modified nerf however to try and raise rifting from the dead.
Two-handed weapons can be combined with each other.
