Future of World of Raids

With the acquisition of MMO-Champion, we had to take a step back and make a few tough decisions. One of those is the future of World of Raids. Rather than this fall into everyone's lap out of nowhere, I felt it was important to make you aware of what's coming. In about a week or two, World of Raids will for the most part be taken offline. Visits to the website will instead go to MMO-Champion, where you'll find all of the latest news and content for Cataclysm -- and World of Warcraft in general.

While this was not an easy decision to make, we felt that it was important to focus resources on a single website within a given field, rather than have multiple websites performing the same basic functions. The obvious choice, of course, is MMO-Champion. The new design is coming along nicely and I'm confident it will attract those of you that have expressed concerns over color schemes versus World of Raids. I can only ask you to trust me on that, because I've seen what the designer working on it can do. He's the same one who designed the new Wowstead layout, and the SC2Replayed layout, to name a few. The same mistakes that were made with World of Raids will not be made in the MMO-C redesign
.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to leave them in the comments and I'll try to respond as best I can. And to be clear, this does not mean it's pointless to visit this website from now until it goes offline. I'm still focused on providing coverage (as you'll see this weekend) until the lights are turned out.
I'll provide an update once we're closer to the day this takes place.
